Alas! The potion is complete! Now, we, the Vampires can take back our world! The world that should have been ours in the first place, but we were denied it so those filthy humans could have access to whatever they pleased! Finally, this potion will help us kill them all! Along with those other pathetic clans!
Carrie stands across from me, ready to leave as soon as Jake gets over here with the said potion. She’s going on a very ‘noble’ mission: The mission to retrieve the hybrid. I’ve tracked the thing down and she goes by the name Rena. The hybrid is part Dark Elf and part Vampire. She probably won’t serve as any assistance other than a tasty drink to derive some power from, however the others are convinced she will be of some use otherwise, I seriously doubt it. Carrie is one of the simpletons with the belief that this ‘Rena’ will be able to use her power to help us eventually. She thinks that her mission is essential…heh. The most that this is is an opportunity for me to test my new potion and possibly get a power boost from that pathetic hybrid. What a dummy you are, Carrie.
“But you can’t go! You just can’t! You’ll die if you do!” Carrie’s sister’s voice breaks the silence with a whining sob, like a pathetic child. Though, I do have to give the brat some credit as the chances are very high that Carrie will die before tomorrow dawns.
Carrie groans “Look,” she replies to her crying sister, “I have to do this. If we ever expect to take back our world we need the hybrid’s power. I’m doing this for the entire Vampire race!” There she goes again on about how the hybrid will be powerful and helpful! Ha!
“But-”
“Shut it, Callie! I have to do this!” Carrie growls and Callie wipes her eyes, whimpering and backing away from her sister. Carrie turns to me “When is Jake getting here with that potion, Celia?” she asks, keeping her voice calm though outlined with frustration.
I shake my head and sigh as a smirk crosses my lips. “He should be here soon.”…Though, with my luck, I’ll have to go find him.
--
“Oh my freaking God! I’m going to kill him!” I yell as loud as I can muster. I hope that dead-brain can hear me! “I’m stuck walking through these dark hallways, because Jake is a stupid moron! I told him the directions seven times over! Do you understand where to go, Jake? Yes, no problem, Celia. I’ll be there on time. Well look where we are now! I swear, the day he can understand directions better than a toddler, I’ll be Queen of the Vampires!”
I stop ranting, not because I want to but because I’m pretty sure I can hear someone mumbling not too far away from my location. Wait…I recognize that obnoxious voice. Jake. “My time to release my wrath upon you has come! MWUHAHAHAHA-” The laugh catches in my mildly dry throat and causes me to keel over coughing.
“Celia?” Jake walks up to me and stands. Too close for his safety. “Do you have a co-” he begins to ask, slightly concerned.
I finish coughing and stand up, snarling. “You!” I yell and interrupt him. “I’m going to kill you!”
--
My work is complete. Jake is now dressed in black and blue bruises. “You’re lucky you’re my brother, otherwise you’d be dead by now!” I laugh. Jake glares at me with one of his eyes starting to swell.
“That’s not really fair…” he whimpers, weak thing. “You know I’m bad with directions!” Jake tried to raise his voice. I can tell he is angry at me but alas he is too scared to show it.
What an idiot! “I told you the directions an- hey! I also gave you a map dim-wit!” Now that the moron has nothing to say in reply, probably due to my ingenious display of facts, that or it could be because I punched him the throat, I really should get my potion back to Callie. The test must commence, despite the dumbass’s screw-ups. “We must get back. Give me my potion, before I beat you again!”
His eyes widen slightly as he shudders. “Okay, okay.” He mutters, looking terrified. Simply further proof that my work is done with him. Jake hands me the palm-sized vial that contains my invention.
“Finally…” I say and then begin to laugh.
--
Jake sighs. “Are you done yet?” Jake interrupts my laughter with his childish annoyance.
“I think so-wait…” I don’t sense any more coming. “I’m done.” I reply then examine the vial once more. “With this potion, we Vampires will take back our rightful place in this world. MWUHAHAHAHAHA”
--
“We should get back now.” I say, after my performance, and start walking the direction I came from. Jake follows, of course, otherwise he would get lost again.
We enter the room where Carrie and Callie are waiting, and see Carrie’s vexed face. Callie is still crying like a baby. All Carrie had to do was stand and wait. If she had to search the halls for Jake then she would have the right to be annoyed!
“I have the potion.” I say and see that Carrie isn’t impressed by my accomplishment.
She rolls her eyes “Well it took you long enough.”
“Look,” Jake steps in. “it was my fault for getting lost…so don’t blame Celia.” He defends me as I shoot him a hateful glare.
“It doesn’t matter now.” I end the confrontation. “Carrie, let me explain the power of this potion before I give it to you.” She gives me a look which says she obviously doesn’t care, but I talk before she can interrupt me. “This is a healing potion. One drop will heal every wound on your body in two days exactly. Every drop afterwards halves that time. So, by my math, if you have six or more drops your wounds will heal almost instantly. I’ll tell you this once, and if you don’t need my words then I don’t give a damn what happens to you.” I don’t give a damn either way, but I have to make the speech sound good. “Don’t take too much of this potion, or it may kill you. It’s very powerful.”
Carrie chuckles “Whatever.” Her reply is unenthusiastic. “Just hand it over so I can fetch the hybrid.” Her response vexes me but I give her the potion. She grabs it from me and walks out into the rainy night. Something tells me she won’t be coming back.
From behind me I head another sob. Jake is trying to comfort Callie when he looks at me. “So…you’re not going to tell her? You’re just going to let her walk into that danger?”
“Would it have made a difference if I that hot-head anything?” I turn and ask, crossing my arms.
Jake’s face turns to fury “It doesn’t matter!” he for a moment forgot that Callie could hear him. “She has a right to know what she’s getting herself into and that she could easily be killed!”
“W-what?” Callie whimpers through her crying. “What are you talking about? What danger?”
“Look Callie,” I begin harshly. “I won’t be one bit surprised if Carrie dies tonight. She wouldn’t listen to me if I tried explaining this to her. The hybrid is part Dark Elf, remember? Jake and I received word through a spy that the Elves know of our plan to capture her. She will most likely face one of their more powerful warriors. Along with that she doesn’t fully understand that potion and she didn’t listen to my warning.” I stop talking when Callie falls to the floor, her hands covering her tear soaked face, she can’t hear me anymore anyway.
I almost wish I could feel sorry for her.
